Fujifilm B&W in a Minolta Maxxum 5 - June 2019
take me to the beach
Visited my brother in Seattle again, in July this time. The PNW is always beautiful but infinitely more tolerable in the summer weather.
No matter where I go I'm always drawn to the ocean.
This is the first roll of film I shot through this camera, a fully-manual Pentax Honeywell with a pancake lens that I picked up at the Goodwill near my house. The light meter is broken so I have to carry a separate one around or use Sunny 16.
What I loved about film when I started doing it in high school is the same thing I love about film now — a moment captured in time, the requirement of patience as a part of the process. I never know how these are going to turn out.

yosemite, ca — january 2017
i don't remember whose idea it was for us to go to yosemite in the dead of winter.
i'm actually not very happy about how these turned out — it was my first time shooting b&w film in a while; the stark landscape, paired w/ constant low-light conditions, made shooting a challenge. luckily, nature likes showing off.
